RAF PADGHAM TRAINING SEASON

LIVE IT IN THE SKY.
Start with Check It Out and Ground School. Eligible students then train at Padgham every weekday evening and Saturday morning when weather, field access, and instructors permit.

The weekly cadence begins after the prerequisite events. It is a recurring opportunity, not an automatic confirmation: students use the current RAF instructor notice and weather decision before traveling. Training stops when RAF announces the July crop or field closure.

STEP 2
Ground School
Complete the required classroom foundation before joining the recurring hill schedule.
MON–FRI
Evening training
Supervised ground handling, launch and landing practice, flights, and individual sign-offs.
SATURDAY
Morning training
The regular weekend training window for eligible students.
SEASON END
Crop closure
The recurring schedule continues into July only while the field remains available.
Canonical weekly window: Monday–Friday, 6 PM to sunset; Saturday, 9 AM to noon. No Sunday session is part of the regular schedule. Weather, instructor availability, landowner direction, and the announced crop/field closure control.
