Weather + terrain

  • Published good direction range is SW toward WSW (225–240°), with the best band at SW (225–235°).
  • Published minimum 5 mph; HG ideal 10 mph, PG ideal 8 mph; maximum 16 mph; gust allowance 5 mph.
  • Vertical rock face below the slot can produce turbulence.
  • A temporary LZ wind indicator is recommended.

Access + stewardship

  • Current RAF and USHPA membership required.
  • All new-to-site pilots require a briefing.
  • Use the landowner driveway slowly; remain on pavement to the turnaround and cross grass only if it will not be damaged.
